Hi,

I'm new here and have basically zero knowledge about anything mechanic.  With that being said, my 2005 Camry (62000 miles) was vibrating everytime I pressed the brakes.  At first it was intermittent, so I thought it was from the NJ roads, when it became all the time I brought it in to my mechanic.

He then told me the bad news - I had a frozen caliper on the rear driver's side wheel, needed new rotors on all four wheel, and need a new front tie rod (?).  Due to financial reasons, I was only able to do the rear repairs and will have to go back for the front.

Does this sound normal on a 2005?  I've never had problems like this on any other car I've owned.  If I go to Toyota I think they'll probably do nothing because the warranty is up.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It probably the rotors and the caliper that is broken.  Fix the caliper problems and see if the car vibrate or shake or it could need a 4 wheel tire rebalanced.

wow...thats hard to imagine that youd have that much going wrong.

Do you drive this thing hard?

Id be willing to bet its just the rotors and a set of fresh pads...

A warp rotor can cause a shake...

What model is this camry?
