2014 center console
6 Attachment(s)
I just bought this, my second camry, a 2014 SE. I used to have a 2001 that we bought new, liked it really well and sold it after 13 years. It was a great car. This one however has a glaring flaw, and I mean that literally. The silver painted center console around the shifter is just unbearable in the sunshine, the glare is just a killer. After about a month of driving it I decided to do something about it. Medium gray paint and clear coat.
I really like the look of it so I'm going to do the door handles this weekend. It still has some glare but its not anywhere as bad as it was. |
Arm rest covers are in progress today

Just completed painting the door arm rest covers. They now match the center console I painted earlier. I also carved a new shifter knob out of maple burl wood. It turned out pretty good so I made one for my wife's car also.

Great job!
Are using some type of paint for plastics? |
Nope, just a can of Dupli-Color car paint in a rattle can that I picked up at Auto Zone. Also clear coat over that to keep it from getting scratched through to the silver under it. It's pretty durable.
