Headlight intensity
 

hi im new here first post i have a small problem with my headlights ... i dont kno why but sometimes my light is quite blue and other time its rather white ... i have MTEC 4700k and they should be like baby blue and when they are bluer they light the road much better than white :confused: what could be causing this ? i kno its a cheap bulb but i like the color and the light output it gives me when they light up " correctly " or atleast as i want them ... is there a way to fix this ? changing wires ? changing the battery and my headlight has a small cynlinder inside of it were the bulb is ... is that a what they call a projector ?

Not up on these bulbs, they are halogen bulb.

The MTEC 4700K is supposed to be blue but some owners state they are more white.

Does this car have DRL that cuts the voltage in half.

You can buy a low cost volt meter that plugs into the cig lighter to monitor voltage. Determine if the light color varies with voltage.

What year is your car? Not all Cams have the DRL (day runner lights) wired the same way. Example, the above situtation wouldn't matter if you had DRLs if you're Camry is an 07 or newer like mine. Reason being, my DRL's are just my high beams at 40% power. I'm assuming ur Mtechs replaced your low beam regular headlights. Those always run at 100% power. Also, if u have just the bulbs and not an actual HID kit with a power ballast, you never know what kind of power you're going to get to those bulbs. Like if you don't have a good alternator or battery you obviously won't put out the constant current to keep it consistent. I hope that makes sense.
