Iwant to boost up the power of my headlight but without using xenon tech.

Am thinking about changing my H4 bulbs into another brand such as BOSCH which is maufacturing most of german car parts .. they have a brighter power bulbs ... I don't wanna use the 1s are sold in the accesories stores as they produce hight heat which causes melting wieres & damaging the power plugs of the headlight.

also about the taillights I found Philips LED's butI dont have any idea about using LED on my 1997 GLi Camry as on my old chevyI cant use them because it requiers a 2 tengisten hair type bulbbut as the LED functions as 1 hair bulb.

anyadvice for me ??

 

No other way to boost the brightness of the headlights without using bulbs that draw more power (unless you look into HIR bulbs), or HID's (if you use HID's you should retrofit your headlights with a projector to reduce glare and to better focus the beam of light).

Just installing LED bulbs into the tails will NOT make them brighter. If you are able to retrofit the housings with a custom circuit board and leds and use special resistors/relays, then you can do it.

if you simply install a bulb, it will probably work, but will cause the 'tail light out' sensor to trigger and you'll have that warning light on your dash lit.

 

mmm ... thanx I will bare that in mind ... as for the head light am reading now more about on BOSCH site ... I guess I will give it a shot .. just to refresh the headlights bulbs as they are used for a long time.

 

i use silverstars. i wish they made silverstar ultras in the h4 size.
