Upgrade to 16" rims

Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade my stock 14" rims to 16". Wondering what specs I should be going by for 16" rims?

The specs of the rims I found is - 16" OEM Toyota Rims and Rubber: 5-bolt, 5 x 114.3, Toyo Spectrum all seasons 205-60-16. Will this be okay?

I always thought any ol' 5 star rims will work. As long as there's clearance at the top, and doesn't stick too far out the wheel well. Turns out that the "5 x 114.3" numbers, plays a big part in having the proper rims for a specific vehicle. Don't exactly know what the 114.3 means, and how relevant it is. Hoping for some education here.

Thanks.:D

www.tirerack.com

they have definitions and answers to all your questions.

the 114.3 and stuff like that reffers to the bolt pattern which is different on various cars. 5 means amount of lugs.

anyways they will tell u the size tires you need as well. i believe what you typed is correct. Just be aware that with most rims, the camry can fit up to a 215 size tire.

oem gen4 camry's with alloys use a 205 size tire.

I'm currently running a 17X7 rims with 225 width tires. But with that width there are issues with the spedometer.

good luck and have fun. lower profile tires offer better handling but with ride confort compromise. But i know for sure that wider is better...hehe

naw its the same thing.
dont worry tire rack is the go to place for this stuff.
and dont hesitate to call them if you have questions. their reps are very knowledable and they tend not to pressure u into sales if ur not ready.
the only down part is hold times can be long if u just happen to call at a busy time.
But they really take the time to answer all of your questions.

here is also a link.
tire rack is on TN.
