I use this for my external XM radio and IPOD. Unit will use the 3.5mm adapter to the XM as the primary and I can power down the XM radio when I play the ipod or iphone (need a line level adapter for iphone5). It works and sounds great!

I thought I'd have to sacrifice CD player functionality when using this but CD player still functions when a CD is inserted.

You are able to control track changes from the steering wheel controls and the radio buttons just like the CD player capabilities.

It plugged right into the back of my Sequoia radio to an existing vacant jack!
