2 quick questions
1994 camry LE
ive got four speakers shipping today from crutchfield.com and i figured that it'd be good to know: how the duece do you take out the frickin rear deck speakers...they're pretty much burried in there. Also, for future use, i've picked out my amp and subs that im throwing in there nxet summer, but, for tailgating, a want to throw some speakers back there too. What kind of amplifier should i get, and what speaker set-up would you suggest. I'm thinking either two or four speakers running off one amp, and i'm gonna have two 12" subs running off the other amp. Thoughts, concerns, ideas? thanks, Fritz |
RE: 2 quick questions
Yer gonna love this . . in order to take the rear deck out you have to remove the back seat! First you have to take out thebottom of the seat (where your but goes)by just yanking it strait up (its fitted into plastic retainers) then you can access the twobolts to remove the two shoulder rests (Either side of the folding backs)then just fold down the seats and you are free to lift up the back deck.I learned this because I had to do my struts and it required me accessing the top of the strut mount under that deck.

Hmmm that reply seems like 1 that I left on another post.

RE: 2 quick questions
Sooooo . . What is that supposed to mean?
|
RE: 2 quick questions
It means that ppl can't come up with their own answer so they use someone elses and try to act smart

RE: 2 quick questions
Dude,
That info is straight from my melon despite what you might think. Besides thatit is outlined inchapter -11 section -13 in the hanyes manual for 1992-96 toyota camry. Look it up. Lets keep the tone of thses forums non accusatory especially when your accusations are incorrect. |
RE: 2 quick questions
They're not incorrect so stop trying to tell me what to do
|
RE: 2 quick questions
I did not "steal" information from this forum.last fall I put struts in my car and had to pull the back seat out. When I saw this question i posted a reply. Simple. Besides it is posted in the HAYNES MANUALas I said. If youread it you will see it all laid out. Relax andstop Accusing me of copying your posts.

RE: 2 quick questions
Kay, so i installed the speakers today (which was a treat) and i have one question. They were rated pretty high by customers on crutchfield so i think they just need broken in, but is it normal to have some distortion when you first hook them up? If not, im gonna have to pull them back out and check that i did everthing correctly. The only place that i can think of that i might be having a problem (if its not a break in thing) is the crimp where i had to extend the wire harness for the rear speakers (which is where the distortion is coming from, i think)
oh yeah, they are 5 1/4" kicker 5250's |
RE: 2 quick questions
they dont need to get broken in...your radio might not be giving them enough power thats why there is distortion...whats the rms of the speakers and the rms of the head unit
|
RE: 2 quick questions
the rms range is 6-35 watts. Its the stock head unit, which im replacing next (no idea what the output is on that) so if thats all it is, that should solve my problem
|
RE: 2 quick questions
Yea I think thatd be the problem, I had that issue with an old subaru legacy, and when I got my camry the first thing in there was a radio. I installed the speakers and it all sounds great.
..I just gotta modify the rear deck so my speakers will fit properly... Time to operate again... |
RE: 2 quick questions
Please dont act childish we are all hear to help one another! By the way your accusing someone of stealing your post on how to remove speakers. It's not like you posted a thesis on atomic theory. There are 63 billion people that know how to remove those speakers so you are hardly saying anything that isn't common knowledge. Take your pride and put it under your back seat! NO ONEis stealing your post!

RE: 2 quick questions
Forums are for info sharing...stop bickering please or else. haha[:@]
I've posted instructions with photos up before but i cannot find them anymore. You can even google search and come up with your answer. 93camryxle's vague but correct instructions are what you have to do. Search around and you should find your answer in multiple threads. Thanks. |
