2007 HV - Adding A2DP

Howdy! We're picking up a 2007 Hybrid Camry w/ the Navigation system this morning. My understanding from research is that it does not support the A2DP profile for streaming music and I'd like to add it. I was hoping to check some assumptions here about the best way to do it and seek out any advice on specific devices.

First, I'm assuming there hasn't been a software update to add this feature. If I'm wrong, that'd be a great thing to find out. :D

Second, I'm guessing that the best way is probably to use the AUX-IN on the back of the deck and to hook some sort of A2DP bridge to it.

If I do this, how much of a hassle will it be to listen to music? Will I need to switch inputs every time I start up the car or lose out on the NAV functionality or something while I'm in it?

Will it interfere with the handsfree bluetooth functionality for calling?

Thanks in advance!

For specifics inquire at the Toyotanation website in the Camry Hybrid or audio sections.

07 does not support A2DP and no software upgrade. Can use the bridge/adapter in your link via aux input. Owners seemed to happy using a bridge/adapter. Beyond that inquire at the TN site.

mCAR Bluetooth

I got this unit for $150 and installed it myself for about 30 min. It works great with A2DP! Connects my iPone 4S with USB and A2DP and works with Siri too. Great value for the money!
