Default Cheapest Place to Install a Head Unit

Hey guys, i just got my 95' Camry and want to install my head unit. Right now a Pioneer DEH - 1700 is intalled and i want my JVC S-890 installed... Only problem is i dont have any extraction keys to get out my pioneer one. So i figured i'd go to best buy and they want 80 bucks to do the swap! Forget that! Any ideas? Or places to go that would be cheaper?

thanks for any suggestions,

jtrink

on your stock deck was it a double din? (a cd and tape player) if it is then a key would be useless. on mine, everything is bolted in. remove the bottom panel right underneath the din and you would see the screws. also a wiring harness and dash kit should be installed since you already have an after market deck installed. unless they some how manage to ghetto rig it.

thats probably the rate you will get anywhere. do it yourself, just go to best buy or walmart and get a wire harness, all you do is match the wire colors, its easy, i just got a 96 camry and am doing mine soon so i dont know if this car needs an antenna adapter too.

you can easily buy some extraction keys from a real Car Audio shop... or online... Pioneer's home site most likely sells them as well... I have never had problems for that... and really its not that hard to do it yourself. Just order a Metra Wiring harness for your car and get install it yourself

I just changed out an OLD alpine to a new pioneer and it was REAL easy. Do it your self, you will have no probs. As for the din tools, I have been in your shoes and I just went to circut city (you could go anywhere that instals) and asked if I could borrow the tool, I popped it out on the spot and drove home and did the rest!
