Default Camry Hybrid Trunk Subwoofer

Has anyone installed a CUSTOM trunk enclosure for a subwoofer and amp. I have 2 12" and it takes up my whole trunk, I'm looking for ideas on the same sound, but smaller custom enclosure.

Do you mean something like fiberglass? I know the company of Bassforms has some for the Camry. If you are talking about a local shop, be prepared to pay for a quality job

I went to Audio Express yesterday and they told me it was gonna be about $500 to make a custom box that will fit up along the rear of the trunk into the little hole above the hybrid batteries. We also talked about a smaller box on the left side, opposite the 12 V, where a custom box can be built with a beauty ring where you wouldn't even be able to see the sub. The problem with that is that I would have to get rid of my MTX's and get a small profile sub, and the box would only fit one sub.

Do you have a link to the guys you mentioned that have Camry box options?

Default Reviving a dead thread

Here is my box I made for the upper deck and it cost me $10 for MDF, $40 for a JBL 8" sub off ebay and $5 for drywall screws. Unless my math is wrong, that doesn't add up to $500. I originally was going to put two 8" subs in there but decided against it. As it is now, it is plenty of bass, enough to make the car rattle, so I don't know why anyone would need more unless you want to shake the headliner off. Obviously I still need to carpet it.
