front speaker help

hey guys,
i live in australia. was part of the australian camry forums but they dont seem to be working at the moment... so i have a situation for you guys... i have just purchased some 6" splits to put in the front of my 94' (gen 3) camry, to replace the stock 4" **** ones in there now... it is an awkward fit because of the window being fully open (cant go too far back into the door) and on the other side, it is unable to fit neatly in behind the door trim, because it only has limited room for the 4" stock speakers at the moment ... it is also limited for space because of the good old wind up window... just wanted to see if anyone knew a way of keeping in neat, while fitting the speaker...
i noticed that some camry models have 6" stock front speakers ... just wondering what models they are on, also are the size of the door trims the same between the gen 3 models (besides the difference being of the electric and wind up windows)?
looking forward to getting some feedback soon, hope you guys can help

RE: front speaker help

ok so let me get this strait... U are replacing the 4" with 6" and because the depth is deeper than the 4" they wont fit right? Ok... you could just create a circle template out of MDF and shim out the speaker so that it doesnt hit hte window...

RE: front speaker help

thats correct... that would be alrite, except it sticks out the other side where door trim is and then the trim will have to be cut to make it fit and it wont look as neat. is there a way around this?

well lets see here... nope U could just carefully cut out the trim piece and then mount the speaker grille over it. That would look pretty nice i would think.
