I bought a 2008 Toyota Camry SE with the JBL sound system installed but I noticed recently that one of the speakers in the back sounds very muffled, and static-like and kind of hums and rattles when the volume is really low. It's not noticeable when the music is a little louder but it's annoying when I just have it on quietly.

I turned the bass all the way down and played around with the EQ but it still rattles and hums so I think it is busted. My question is, since I don't know how to prove to them that I didn't do it (not even sure if it was me who didn't do it), how much would I be shelling out for a replacement speaker and is the installation difficult in Camrys?

There was a series of posts a short time ago about taking the car apart to access the rear speakers.

 

I think JBL speaker didn't match to your Camry, you should try other speaker.
