I have a 2018 Camry SE. I've discovered that it is impossible to do a music selection while driving. Even if someone is in the passenger seat, who can do the operation. If you want to select a certain song, you hit 'next track' a hundred times until it falls in queue or you stop the car and put it in park. How can you turn this feature off? Is there a secret code? Human sacrifice? Incantation?
I think it's ironic that Toyota put so much energy into making the 2018 one of the safest cars on the road while devolving the text reading/retrieval system into the most UNsafe.

I might be wording it wrong but not finding the solution on youtube that doesn't require wires and splicing , etc. Was hoping for a button hack or hidden menu. But, again, thank you. :-)

 

There are a few videos on this on Youtube! But if that's not what you need, I'm sorry to disappoint, but I don't know any button hacks. Sorry... I can try asking my brother; he might know. Until then, could you please tell me a website from where I can get free sound effects? I tried googling stock sound effects free download, but none of the websites provide free services. So, I would highly appreciate it if any of you guys could help somehow. Sorry, I know we're supposed to help you, but I hope you don't mind me asking this here.
