RE: now for speakers
Your best bet is to replace the door and rear deck speakers.

RE: now for speakers
since we r on the subject how do u get the back door panels off of a 97' camry LE??
i took the screws out and pulled but it wasnt budging...are there like hidden screws or sumthing?? |
RE: now for speakers
if it is just like my camry, there are some typy of clips in it as well. you just pull it off. My camry only has like two screws. once i take em off, the panel seems like its still stuck pretty good but all it is are the clip things. just be carefull pulling off cause they can break like on mine. :P

RE: now for speakers
There should be a couple of 10mm bolts in both panels that you need to remove.

RE: now for speakers
94 and 95 models, the rear deck speakers are bolted down with 10mm headed bolts. Flip the seat forward, remove the two plastic caps on the screws holding down the rear deck cover, remove the screws.
Being extremely careful, remove the cover of the rear brake light if fitted, removing the screws as soon as you get the cover up far enough to do so. Then carefully lift the rear deck cover. You will need to carefully bend the edges to come past the plastic panels and the top of the seat sides. Then proceed to remove the 3 x 10mm bolts on each speaker, replacing the speakers at the time. It should take at least 1hr 30 mins to do this. Dave |
RE: now for speakers
