RE: how to take care of leather seats

Any local auto parts store will carry leather cleaner/conditioner . It is similar to a liquid wax you rub on with one cloth then buff with another cloth. Then in between these cleanings , they make wipes (similar to the armor all type wipes) , these are good for quick cleaning and conditioning , but you should every so often use the real deal cleaner/conditioner. No, these are usually not covered under warranty, as it is a "wear and tear" item, but if they accessively wear or come apart, and you complain long enough they will help you out.

Meguiars Leather Cleaner & Conditioner works well.

To clean your leather on a regular bases you really only require something very mild...I use in my detail biz Woolite and water...mixed one part soap to ten parts water...its safe on any surface...for protection OTC is Lexol which is a decent product ...there are many others online...but most all new cars today the leather is clear coated meaning that its not like the old days where oil based products where required to keep the leather supple..as for cracks that's natural on leather..your drivers seat will show the most over time

I like the Zaino brand "leather in a bottle" product.

Although the Mother's or Meguiar's stuff smells better.

I guess it's necessary to be replace on monthly basis or depending on how often you use it.
