Random Detailing Questions Answered

If there is hope for the current paint, you could buff it. That takes the right equipment, and also a good bit of skill. Not a project for the timid. You can easily burn through the paint and ruin the car. And it must be done in the shade.
If the paint is dead, repaint it. I repainted my '94 in September. And always the same color, or door jambs and the underside of a hood or trunk will look terrible.

My camry is 16 years old and looks like a new car. to really bring back the paint it requires a rotary buffer and someone that knows how to use it. This will level the paint / clear coat and get the paint to pop again.
Try finding a good detailer in your area, to get the car back up to speed.
