1988 wagon rear interior

Just got a 1988 Camry wagon, 23 years old, 130 on the odo. Looks like I've got the dreaded "3rd brake light" problem (as well as a few other interior light problems). I read about the "yellow box" and hope to give it a makeover, but here's my problem: how do I remove the rear interior trim? I've taken out every visible screw I can find and I suspect hidden clips, but I'm concerned about damaging a 23 year old interior. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If this is the plastic side panel typically there are push in round plastic pins that hold it on.

The pins have a thin head about the diameter of a nickle. The push pins expand inside the hole in the chassis, you need to gently pry them out.

In the case of the plastic over the rocker panel, these snap into place at the plastic cover panel edges. You need to gently pry at one end of the cover hen slowly and gently pull the panel away. Once the panel states to move, how it attaches will be obvious.

Thank you for replying so quickly. Do I need to take the section off that surrounds the rear left window first, or can I just remove the lower sections?

There may be a top plastic cover that allows access to the upper strut mount. Remove this panel first.

The rear lower large trim panel is held in with press pins.

You might need to remove the side seat back cover forward of the panel first.

Don't know how to send private message. Got the strut cover and the partial seat piece off. Looked like the upper section should come off first (is that necessasary?), so I started that. This car also has the "stuck key cylinder" problem so I switched to that while waited your original response. Stuck horn screw has that problem hung up, so I need to get that out of the way first.
A little background: this car sat for 4 years in a garage accumulating oily dust. Engine seems no worse for the situation, but several electrical switches or connectors seem to have been affected, and the car has a weird rubbing sound from the rear (?) axle. The cylinder lock and the 3rd brake have to be solved first, but then I'll have a few more questions.
