My cat has a hole in it, It's located in the middle of car and there is nothing connected to it like wires. Downstream appears the resonator and exhaust and upstream is the flex pipe and other cats.
Well, here is the end result. The cat connection was cracked/rusted which connected to a coupling then to the downstream sensor and resonator.
I used SS clamps, SS pipe, grinder to cut, and pipe widener rental from Advanced auto. Also added stainless steel straps to cat cover since that decided to come off but normal for the age.
It took a while to do all this Fit pipe in cat first since that had the most space to back into. Just bumped the internal screen a little. Then pushed out to the other pipe. The 95 camry exhaust system must be SS to last this long and the metal is thick. Also pipe expander at least my rental only widens very little but was enough. Doing it on car is harder. There is not alot of metal thickness for the connection to the cat but holds well. See pictures below.
