The car does not have cruise control?

The unit basically has three components. A computer mounted under the dash, a control switch arm mounted on the steering column and the actuator mounted in the engine compartment.

If the car did not have cruise control the issue is if the wiring harness is installed. If not, this would be a complex job as the system wires into a lot of other components.

Check for the wiring harness plugs. The actuator box mounts in the area of the passengers side of the battery. Look around for an electrical plug having four wires, white/black, red/green, red/black and red/yellow.

The computer is mounted under the drivers side of the dash or the far passengers side about level with the glove box, the plug has 15 wires.

The switch arm mounts on the steering column, the plug has 3 wires, white, white/blue and white/black.

If the car has the wiring the task would require obtaining the parts and installing them which should be straight forward. Ebay lists all the parts plus currently has a complete unit for sale. Look at the various ads as some will show where the parts are located on the car.

f the car does not have the wiring you will need to find the harness wiring from a parts car or consider an aftermarket cruise unit if available.
