2005 Camry 2.4 stops blowing hot air while at idle
I just bought a 2005 cart with 192k cute little car. It’s in great shape. However I recently noticed if I’m at idle the heat stops blowing hot. I want to know if anyway one has experienced this and what it ended up being. It does not overheat the engine temp doesn’t go down when the heat cools off. There’s no sweet smell in the cabin or leaking coolant inside or out. The coolant is full in the radiator. Any insight?
Manual or automatic temperature controls.
Hot air stops coming out or no air?
Plugged up heater core. Remove hoses and flush with garden hose.
The HVAC system uses a blend door to mix hot/cold air. Perhaps blend door actuator is broken. Read up on the actuator on the internet.
There is no heater coolant flow control valve as in older cars.
Does the temp gauge stay rock steady once engine warm?
Might be water pump or T-stat.
