2012 glove box button covers removable?
anyone know if these covers will pop off without taking a bunch of other stuff off. They get the jiggles.

Can you post a pic?
|
can't post a pic, but it is the design of both the release button & lock button are stacked on the left side. Problem is... the lock cylinder rattles, tring to access it.
|
Does the glove box door have any play in it? Like when it is closed, does it move with pressure, not quite fit snug? Or is it solely the actual cylinder housed within the glove box door?
|
It's pretty snug. It was banging on top a little when bumpy so I put a little cushion there, took that out & put a heavy book in there. Trying to dampen the vibs. I was told by dealer that it has a bumper behind it & 2 screws on the back of the box. Don't see any screws. Took cabin filter door out to see, don't see anything.

Generally, the glove box can be adjusted by either the hook mounted to the dash or the lock mechanism in the glove box door. Usually two screws, loosen, and move unit up or down, tighten, and test. Most of the time it is the hook latch mounted to the dash.

Thats some good info.
where is this hook latch, picture ?, I cant get to the 2 screws on the lock without taking the button cover off, how does it come off? |
