Default 5th gen owners: is it normal for the air box housing to have this gap?

Everything fits and is aligned perfectly, all the tabs slide into eachother, but I can't seem to close this gap. Ive seen some pictures on google with the same gap but just wanted to verify with people that actually own one

Try asking at toyotanation.com in the appropriate year Camry section.

Check if the gap is actually the air cleaner gasket being exposed.

Mine does this same thing with any filter I put in it I think it's just the air box

That little gap is fine. If in doubt, check the filter after running for a few hundred miles, if the filter is significantly more dirty in that corner then you know are sucking air at that spot
