93 Camry help

I got a 93 Camry LX with the 2.2.The car needs new rod bearings. I am trying to find out if I have to pull the engine to replace them. I don't know much about Toyota. All help would be appreciated.

If doing this job suggest you obtain some type of service manual. Others have done the job with the engine in the car.

The engine has a counterbalance shaft and housing unit that would need to be removed first to get to the crankshaft.
