93 camry no power to fuel pump
 

93 camry 2.2 5 speed. No power to fuel pump.

EFI relay and "circuit opening" relay tested good, off car. All Fuses I know about are good, yet there is no power at the fuel pump connector. It appears the "circuit opening" relay (behind glove box) is not turning on. It does not click and I don't see voltage at the actuating connector (as far as I can tell).

Are there fusible links somewhere? What else can I try?

The fuel pump will only run when the engine is cranking or running.

The Circuit Openning Relay (COR) accomplishes this through a dual solenoid coil design in the relay.

Power to one COR solenoid comes through the MAIN fuse, Starter Relay contacts, the STARTER fuse then to one of the COR solenoid coils.

The EFI Relay powers the other COR solenoid coil. Power is from the EFI fuse through the EFI Relay contacts to the other COR solenoid.

Power to the EFI soleniod travels from the AM2 fuse, through Ign switch and IGN fuse to the coil.

If the engine cranks the Starter Relay is working.

93 camry will not start
 

I was sitting in the car with the ignition switch on (motor not running) and I smelled something like electrical wire burning I looked closer and saw a little smoke under the glove box, I turned the key off and it stopped,but now the car will not start.I removed the glove box and could see no damage, I replaced the circuit open relay and I can here it clicking on but still wont start.need help.

The engine computer is also located in the area. Try to do a smell test to narrow down the location of burning.
