95 camry 4 cyl. won't start

I have no spark at plug wires. I replaced the igniter, and distributor (with used parts). Spraying starting fluid does nothing. I released the pressure at the fuel filter and turned on the ignition and could not hear the fuel pump. I have no idea what to try next.

what's the condition of the engine?

Make sure the timing belt is not broken.

When you changed the distributor did you change the ign coil also. Make sure the coil and igniter are receiving 12V power (white/red wire).

The fuel pump will only run when the engine is cranking over to start it or when running.

Thank you for answering. The motor has 200,000, but it was running fine, until it quit. I turned the motor over with the dist. cap off and the rotor was spinning , so i'm guessing the timming belt is ok.

Is this a California or Federal emissions ca? There should be a sticker under the hood with this info.

Check all fuses including AM2, Ign and EFI. There is also a fuse box behind the drivers side ash tray/coin box on the far left lower side of the dash board.
