Question 95 Camry wont start

Hi - my 95 Camry 4 cyl 280,000 miles wont start when I turn the key. I can jump start it
and I can pop start it (5 speed manual), Then I can drive it like normal but when I shut
off the car it wont start again. The battery is brand new and I just gave it a tune up a few
weeks ago (Cap, rotor, wires, and plugs). It was running great (still does). Could this be a
problem with my alternator? It is the original alternator. The starter was replaced back in
2004. When I turn the key I just hear several clicks. When I put the new battery in- it would not start so I jumped it. Then I took a 15 minute drive and shut it off but it would not start. Any help would be appreciated. How can I test the alternator - I have a multimeter.
Thanks Kevin

Push starting bypasses the starter system. Jumping provides extra currant to overcome poor electrical connections.

Make sure the battery connections, cables, ground connections are OK.

Check out the starter solenoid electrical contacts.
