"95 sedan door lock

Is it possible to fix the driver's side door lock and get a new keyless entry button for this car?

What is the problem with the lock?

Did you loose the key fob or do you want to install a remote lock.

The fob stopped working and a new battery did not help. Then the key stopped working in the door and we have to unlock the passenger side to get into the car. thanks

Does the door lock/unlock electric switch on the drivers console work?

Does the manual unlock on the door work?

Yes Sir to both questions

Not sure the US Camry offered factory or dealer remote door locks until around 1998.

Is this an aftermarket FOB?

We bought it new off the lot like this. I found an online source for the fob but just needed to know what part I need for the lock and directions on repair process. Dealer said cost is around 300 for them to do it. Might be my best bet.

Check the FOB and determine if it has the Toyota logo on it.

The only info I have is for 1997 and later cars. To reprogram the FOB requires disconnecting the power mirror plug and jumping some some wires.

Thanks. I ordered a new one. Hopefully that will do it. I do not believe it is the actuator but possibly the latch which I guess is what the key is trying to turn to open the door. I just did not want to take apart the door unless I had a good idea of what the problem might be since ordering parts takes a few days. But if the Fob does work and the folks at originalkeyless.com are correct then programing it should not be a problem. Thanks again.

Great.

The system appears to be a dealer installed option.
