Default 96 Camry, engine light #2 cyl misfire

I have a 96 camry 2.2 that has the engine light on and code indicates #2 cyl misfire. I have cleared it several times and after a few minutes the same code appears. The plug is sparking. I am wondering if I have a bad fuel injector? Any thoughts?

The Autozone website may have an fuller explanation of the code to aid you in troubleshooting. The site has a pretty good owner repair section.

Rarely do injectors fail or plug up but it does happen. The ohm reading of the injector solenoid should be 13.4-14.2 ohm.

Use a section of rubber hose as a stethoscope to listen for the injector working and compare the noise to the other injectors.

Sometimes the ECU coolant temp sensor can cause strange problems with these codes.

REPLACE the plugs, even if sparking does not mean plugs good, wire check for continuity or replace,

I agree with beige. Had a similar problem but I had just installed plugs and loose connection. The rear plugs are hard but do able. Many videos , info on it without removing many parts.
