another power window thread
 

my 96 le front drivers side window goes down real easy but to make it go up i have to push the switch and let it go up a bit and release it and go up a bit and release it but when it gets a little past halfway it goes right up,sometimes, i am going to bypass the switch because it feels funky and if that doesn't work i will take it all apart again and clean it and put silicon spray on the rubber seals on the side and see if it goes up and down by hand i haven't found any in the wrecking yard yet. what other cars can i get parts from?:confused:

Is the window sticking when going up? The motor will stop if it encounters too much resistance.

Remove door panel and watch the regulator action to determine if it is sticking.

Try the lube spray first before replacing the switch.

1992-1996 has same window regulator and motor.
