Auto Transmisson Fluid Exchange
 
I have a 98 Camry with the 2.2 litre. Wanted to know if a transmission fluid exchange would be Ok to swap out the trans. fluid?

Yes, an exchange is fine.

The trans uses the same fluid as in the power steering, Dexron III. GM stops licensing this name so look for alternative names such is Mobil MD3.

Is there a transmission filter in the Camry's transmission?

The filter is a mesh screen. Access is by removing the tran oil pan.
