Broken cable
 

Hi... i'm new around here so I hope I have posted this in the correct spot. I noticed this morning that this cable (circled below in this internet pic) in my 2012 Camry had deteriorated and was broken. Hoping that somebody can point me in the right direction and tell me the part number (or at least a precise name) so that I can order a replacement... Many thanks in advance. - Barry

Determine if the cable bolts to both the engine and chassis. If so it electrically grounds the engine to the chassis.

Part can be called a "bonding cable".

If you have a Toyota dealer near you. Take the car, your photo and the VIN to the parts department. The parts person should be able to determine the exact part and order it for you.

The car has a number of bonding cables thus you want to get the correct one.

I'ts an inexpensive part.

The engine looks squeaky clean. Is there a recall on that part? Strange it broke. Just an observation. If that is a braided cable that should last a long time.
