Center Console Push Lid
 

Hello everyone,

This is my first post so go easy on me. Yesterday I purchased a 2005 Camry 4cyl 5 spd and so far I really am enjoying it. Before purchasing I requested the dealer repair the center console push lid in front of the shifter. The next day they explained that they had got it back on the track but it was still not working quite right but they couldn't afford to put any more cash into the vehicle.

The question is this, have any of you ever had this compartment door break and if so how did you fix it? Is there a part(s) I can order and install myself?

Is this a flip up door below the radio for a small storage box?

You got it. It seems to on track but not properly. You really have to wiggle it and almost contort it to get it to close and open. Plus, it doesn't have any sort of spring to it (i.e. open under its own power.)

You most likely need to remove the box assy to repair it if possible.
