Thanks Smitty

What are you attempting to accomplish with this mod?

I do not have one but I have heard that you get a more aggressive sound and that is about it. Engine sound and looks under the hood are about all you are going to get out of an intake. I seriously thought about getting one a while ago but the stock set up seemed optimal to me after much research. A short ram intake tends to pull in air in the engine compartment that is hotter than the air a stock air box would pull in, hence less horses. A true cold air intake is a better option as the filter element, where air is drawn in, is located away from the engine and in down in the fender by the air dam. This location also makes it vulnerable to sucking up water or getting packed by snow. They do make bypass filters that are couplings for these types of intakes as well to prevent sucking up water into the engine.
If you really want the K&N, make some heat shields around it and enclose it from engine heated air under the hood for the most power. And make sure there there is still a cold air inlet pipe that delivers outside air to the filter.

Concur with Patonium.

Dyno tests on these devices show nil gains.

In my opinion the price is too high for any gain, but as stated the car will sound more aggressive and look cool.
