help w/ alternator wires
My alternator plug off the engine harness rotted. I found a company online that sales replacement alternator plugs.
The original three wires that went to the alternator plug were white, yellow, red/turquoise. I need to know which wire goes in which position in the plug so I don't fry something. Does any one have a 94-96 camry that can look at their alternator? There is a little rubber boot covering the plug, you can simply slide it back to see the wires and their respective positions. Thanks, Ryan |
The wire closest to the radiator is White.
Center wire is Red/Blue Wire closest to firewall is Yellow. |
Thanks! That solves it. I had deduced from a wiring manual that I *thought* that was the way it should go, but was not sure.
I installed my repair harness, and new alternator is working. Thanks again! |
Great job!
