Default Ignition Key Programing

Is there a way to program a replacement ignition switch key for a 2007 Camry? I had the key blank cut but do not know how to program it. I can find information on the remote door but not the ignition key. The nearest dealer is over 70 miles one way from where I live.

Note sure it is possible without specialized equipment although some locksmiths can now do the job.

The only remote that Toyota supplies for an 07 is the one in the head of the key. If you have a different one, it is not from Toyota, and you will have to find the info from the manufacturer of the system on the car. If you do have the one on the key, the only way that I know to program it is with Toyota's scan tool. Sorry! In eastern NC, we charge $40 to program it.
Hope this helps. God Bless!

Key Cutting/Programming

Programming instructions are not included. This device requires cutting and programming by a dealership or locksmith. The procedure takes only a few seconds to complete and many dealerships will do it for free as a courtesy. If your dealer does charge a fee, local locksmiths usually charge much less to remain competitive.
