increasing ground clearence

G'day, firstly thanks for allowing me and the year Rego starting 1901 as opposed to yesterday. I'm after advice on raising the height of our 1998 Camry to give greater ground clearance, shocks etc. or larger wheels. also I'm Aussie and we NEED a Roo bar (bull bar) any ideas.

Larger tires/rims might raise the car 1/2 to 1 inch. An online tire/rim size calculator will input current and proposed tire/rim sizes and compute the increase in car height.

One can get "lift spacers" as in plastic shims to put between the upper strut mount and chassis. Might get 1 inch or more.

If you can find them for this car, coil overs might work IF getting springs stiffer then stock.

There are coil spring spacers that insert into a section of the spring to keep that section of spring from compressing under weight.

Getting out the cars weight will increase chassis height.

Most aftermarket suspension systems are designed to lower the chassis thus take note when looking around.
