Low Idle rpms/stalling

Hi Im new here and just wanted to ask a quick question. I have a 97 camry and yesterday I found that my egr modulator was broken and went to replace it.After I replaced it and connected all hoses correctly I found that I am idling at a low 200 rpm and dying immediaately after start. Any idea what could have gone wrong? Thanks in advance for answers

A vacuum leak or open EGR valve can cause these issues.

Unless stuck open, disconnecting the vacuum hose on the EGR valve should turn it off.

Thanks I'm gonna check the hoses and try when I get home

A day later: SO i found this youtube video that shows exactly what my car is doing and how to fix it...it seems it is my iac that is causing this conundrum but I am a little wary about using carb cleaner on it because I hear it can have some negative effects. Any feedback? TIA

Edit: well it looks like even afer doing what was said in the video my car is still doing t he exact same thing as in the video still :( maybe my iac hasa gone bad

If the idle was OK before the repair then recheck the repair.

Thanks finally got it fixed. Turns out one of the vacuum hoses went bad causing it to do what was shown in the video. Just got a new one checked my connections and now its all better
