Need Advice on Buying Radiator
 

Hey there Camry lovers, like myself :)

It's been a while since I've had a problem with my 99 Camry CE but just the other day while on the way home from work my car suddenly overheated. Immediately, I suspected that the radiator was the cause of the problem, so I pulled out it for inspection. Apparently, there had been a coolant leakage and a majority of the fins were damaged as well. Seeing as that replacement is the only option, I've decided to purchase a new radiator online.. I've already done some browsing around and have narrowed down the list of possible vendors I may buy from, to two:

Who offers the better value and which company has faster shipping times? Maybe someone here has dealt with them in the past. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If buying any product online might due a Better Business search, perhaps a general Google search. On occasion you will find a business having a very bad reputation and best to avoid.

Having mail ordered radiator's I now tend to shop local. Often the radiator is shipped in the same packaging as received from the manufacturer. This is OK for bulk shipping by the manufacturer to the reseller but not adequate for UPS or FedEx which can be brutal on packages. The result are leaks that can show up sooner or later.

You can send the radiator back of course but this is more work.

A local buy means less likely part damage and if so a quick return. One other issue is many chain stores offer a life time warranty. If you keep the car and the receipt,
you can get a replacement at any time if needed.

This is not to state you can't get a better deal elsewhere or maybe a better radiator. Just that the problems of shipping and return may outweigh these factors.
