No illumination ond drivers door controls
 

The 2012 I just got has no illumination on the drivers door 'master switch' panel' for any of the controls save the word AUTO for the drivers window.
Is this a normal condition? Seems a bit odd on a vehicle as expensive as this one was when new. Can't see a blessed thing with it being dark. My wide never mentioned it but last night I drove it an I had to open the door to see the mirror control ans the door lock.

Before I take things apart I need to know if I am looking for something that isn't there but should be! My Prius lights up things better than this!
