p0328 knock sensor problem.

Greetings.

This is my first post and need some advice regarding a knock sensor (code p0328) issue I am having.

I have a 2005 2.4 4cyl camry and having a difficult time locating the knock sensor, also is there only one knock sensor for the 2.4 4cyl camry, I've read there may be two but I believe it is for the V6 model.

thanks.

Knock sensor (1) is on cylinder head under intake manifold. Difficult to access without removing the manifold.

Ohm resistance should be 120-280K at 68F.

Toyomoho.

Thanks for the info.

Regarding the manifold gasket I will replace it if needed, or should I replace it regardless.

Replacing the knock sensor is involved.

The link below provides info for same engine in RAV4 which should be close.

Take note of notation for using new gaskets, etc. Intake manifold is one of them. The intake manifold is plastic,be sure to re-install the insulator.

If your up to it. Might check sensor ohm reading remotely first at ECU harness plug. See link below:
