2000 Camry starting problems

Need help with 2000 Camry. Turn key and no clicking, not turning over. No sound at all. Recently replaced burnt alternator wire. This seemed to work. Battery symbol on dash went off. Couple of weeks later parked car shut it off and tried to start no sound. We tried jumping car did not work. Interior lights come on. Tried disconnecting theft system, replaced positive terminal and negative terminal and ground wires. Replaced wires that run from battery to alternator. Checked all fuses. Replaced starter relay and still nothing. The key FB works unlocks doors. Tried making sure gear shift in place. Any ideas?

If a factory or dealer theft system the engine will turn over but not start. Aftermarket it could prevent the start system from working.

The car has several electrical independent electrical circuits. As such some items can work while others do not.

The starter system works as follows:
The ign key flows power through a Park/Neutral safety switch. This then energizes a small starter relay which energizes the starter solenoid.

Try shifting to Neutral to start the engine.

Try jumping starter solenoid power to the battery. This is the SMALL wire on the solenoid to +12v battery thus you can use a small wire. If you think the electrical system has a bad ground, ground the starter body to the -12V battery terminal.

Determine if the starter engages or starter solenoid now clicks showing the solenoid works.
