Welcome to CF.

Try the following:

Have car on level ground, steering wheel centered when front tires are pointing forward.

Ign key off. Connect #4 and 14 terminals on the ODBII plug. Terminals should have numbers to aid orientation.

Turn on ign key. TRAC and VSC lights should blink seemingly randomly. Wait 10 seconds, light blinking pattern should change to a more steady pattern. Turn off ign key, disconnect terminals.

Sensor angle should be reset.

The sensor tracks the rotation of steering wheel. Unless the front tires are so misaligned the steering wheel is no longer centered when tires face forward, it should not matter if an alignment is done or not.
