05 Camry electrical fault
Hi. I have an 05 Camry with some annoying faults.
He won't go into programming for the key fob...with the radio off and lights on the light on key off buzzer sounds.turn the radio on...the buzzer goes off.the drivers door lock (internal) does not activate the rest..the trip computer does not work neither does the key chime for open door and key in ignition.
I suspect a body control module fault but don't know how to test it.
He did get a new battery the day I bought him.
Any ideas
Thanks in advance.

Re
I am not sure
I put the battery in...
The previous owner has been no help at all in trying to find out what it was like.
He only had a key...no fob
The clock wasn't working...he knew that and I have replaced the clock.
Everything else is unknown.
I was wondering if there was some sort of programming problem but over the years I have put plenty of batteries in Camry's and never encountered this...usually its reset the radio and all is good.
In this instance the battery was dead flat and had been for a while so my backup battery pack wouldn't have made a difference.

Dead battery issues can also effect door lock options such as chime sittings and what doors get unlocked.
The clock didn't work and replacing the clock fixed this issue?
What type of radio, Toyota factory with or without nav, or aftermarket?
Did the previous owner install or try to install an aftermarket remote, alarm, radio, etc and possible cause issues with the wiring?
Also try to find out why the battery went dead. As in a natural death or wiring issues or bad alt causing a drain that killed it.

There has been no interference with the radio.
I am going to try replacing the driver door central lock actuator.

It would only lock with the fob. However, I later fixed it. There is a rubber grommet on the inside of the door that gives access to the lock and I sprayed it with WD-40.
At first it would still not turn. Came back an hour or more later and started wiggling it. Turned out the old key would not turn but the new key finally opened it.
After a lot of wiggling and WD-40 it broke loose. I'm guess the problem was caused by lack of use. We just got the car about 6 months ago and the previous owner probably only opened and closed the door using the remote. The lock tumbler probably just corroded or just locked up. Its working fine now.
