Default 1993 LE stereo wiring diagram

Does anybody have or know where I can find a wiring diagram for the stereo, amp and speakers for a 1993 LE. I have a wagon but I do not think that matters much. It does have the separate tweeters in the door handles.

I was hoping not to have to buy a diagram/shop manual. I am not sure if the stereo is bad or the amp.
Thanks.

Default Stereo Wiring Diagrams

I have had to track down some difficult stereo wiring diagrams, they tend not to be widely available on purpose.

1st pull out the deck and see if the wires or deck have the diagrams or labels already on them, amps usually are well labeled. Hopefully, this info is on your deck.

I have found a website that can help. Try this link.

Search around this site.
I hope these suggestions and resource help.
Be sure to reply once you have figured this out. We can use the info.
Thanks.

Thanks. I have been searching for a amp bypass harness and have had no luck. I was hoping to make my own. I will let everybody know when I find out.

After many emails, calls, and visits to numerous sites; I have a possible lead on bypassing the amp. It sounds too easy of a fix but I will try it.

I went to Metra Electronic's website ( www.metraonline.com ) and shot them an email. One of their lead technicians replyed...VERY FAST TOO! That suprised me.
He told me once you remove the radio that it was an easy fix if you can find the plugs.

The following is quoted from his response:
"Look deep in the radio cavity for two blue plugs foam taped up together. Unplug them, and use a 70-1761 harness. That will bypass the amps."

I have a couple more questions for him but I have to get my dash back together and get the power running again before I ask him any more.

I will let you all know if I hear the fat lady sing in my wagon.
