1998 Toyota Camry LE - Random Horn 3 Honks, no apparent reason
My son inherited his grandfather's 1998 Camry. Great condition, nice car. It has the VIP alarm system (I'm assuming the RS3000).
For an unknown reason, it randomly will honk the horn 3 times. This can happen multiple times at night and during the day. There is nothing going on around the car.
I've tried to turn off the "auto set" part of the alarm, the "auto lock" part. I can't find anything in the manual that indicates a message of three horn honks.
Anybody have any ideas (other than Grandpa saying "Hi, wash my car more often!"

The security system has an optional glass breakage sensor which is a microphone. It could be cabin temperature changes, moisture, etc are causing the mic to react and the system then chirps 3 times as a warning to the phantom persons attempting to break in.
The installation and owners manuals are available on the internet. Search under RS3000 PDF for files.
