2001 Toyota camry xv40 10 amp ING fuse blown
Hello I wanted to see if anyone has ran across the 10amp fuse labeled ING in position 25 in the interior fuse box blowing every time you hit the push to start button. Car does also dose not turn over and I’m guessing it has to do with the fuse. I’m just looking for a place to start. Thanks for any help.

What engine 4 cylinder or V-6? Smart key or not?
The fuses powers the following items: Cruise Control Electronically Controlled Transmission and A/T Indicator Engine Control Engine Immobiliser System (w/o Smart Key System) Key Reminder (w/o Smart Key System) and Seat Belt Warning The fuse powers the stop light switch which includes cruise control. Try starting with foot off brake if possible. Plus the solenoid of fuel pump relay but this built into a circuit board.. For $20 one can access Toyota service info which includes wiring diagrams for 2 days, which may be most helpful. https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfo...arch_docs_page |
It has a 4-cylinder with a smart key.

Suggest you get the wiring diagram for your year of car. Toyota wiring diagrams are very good.
Check the items listed in previous posts for fuel pump relay and brake light. The IGN fuse in part powers the smart recognition computer. If no recognition of key then no engine start. Assume there is some kind of wiring or device short to ground. Here looking at things that can short such as brake switch. The various solid state electric modules seldom short out. Suggest you recheck the fuse as my info has the IGN fuse located in a box in the engine compartment. |
