About three months ago the security alarm on our 2002 Camry XLE began going off randomly. Once every few days, then several times a day. Car had a new battery (less than 8 months old). Toyota dealer checked electrical system and ran computer trouble shooting but couldn't figure it out. They suggested that we take batteries out of remotes for a week! Did that, replaced batteries, random beeping occurred again, so disabled remote by taking out batteries. At 0400 this morning car went off again. Beeped for three minutes or so and stopped coincidentally just before I went out to insert key in door. Any ideas? As an FYI, about the time this started we purchased a 2006 Camry XLE with a remote and had purchased a 2006 Highlander in November. There must be a cure but Toyota dealer is clueless. Thanks.
