Default 2007 Camry Headlight switch coming out.

My girlfriends mom has a 2007 camry. We went on vacation this past week and came back to find the switch slipping out of the toggle. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their camry, or if its simply severe abuse that has forced it to come undone. Ive posted a picture to show the damage.

Have never seen this problem.

Look at the end of the shaft to determine if there is supposed to be a screw of clip holding it in. Or if something broke.

Might ask at the Toyotanation website.

Check the end of the shaft for signs of a clip that holds it in or something that broke.

The switch is not supposed come apart, no replacement parts are available.

Default defective headlamp switch

evidently this is a defective part as I took to dealer , and they had to order new headlight switch component. I would like to hear from others who have experienced this problem. thanks Toyomoho for your response.

I am having the same problem. One fine day the switch pops out and no signs of any clip remains or screws getting loose.

So kind of curious, did you pay to the dealer to replace the part? If so how much? Please let me know. Thanks.
