Default 2017 XLE - Car says my fuel economy is WAY higher than actual

First post here...I've owned this 2017 XLE 4cyl for about 3 months. It has 215/55/17 tires (recommended size). The car has 119K miles and runs fine. I live in the TX Panhandle, so there are no hills to affect my fuel mileage. I've calculated my real-world fuel mileage after several fillups, and it's around 24mpg town/30-32 highway. The car, however, thinks I'm getting at least 25% higher than real-world. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to correct it?

Maybe reset it and see if it matches up? Maybe disconnect the battery for a bit and reset that way?

Thanks for the suggestion. I fill up the tank whenever I get fuel, usually when I'm between 1/4 - 1/2 tank, and reset the gauges each time. I did disconnect the battery for about 25 minutes last week on another's suggestion to no avail. It's no big deal, just an annoyance. The previous owner hadn't reset anything for over 4000 miles. I'm thinking that may have something to do with it....
