95 camry speed sensor code south africa
 

hi bought a younger 2.2 auto camry 1995 it has code 42 that comes and goes we replaced it from my 1993 auto 2.2 ..code still comes back pulled efi fuse stays away then returns .I swopped dash instrument cluster complete from the 1993 to 1995 ..code 42 still returns .Where to next should i swop 1993 ecu to 1995 thats giving the code ...ive done paperclip diagnostic on engine an d gearbox only code 42 goes away returns again .Or should i get auto electrician before swopping ecu around .from working 93 to also working 95 .We recently bought 95 ..what was done transmission drop and clean filter auto..engine oil flush change filter sparkplugs distributer cap rotor radiator ccap flush anifreeze thermostat in and out pipes engine seal leaks done timing set front brakes dand alignment done .....only thing i can see is distributer leaking oil was pulled out to change timing could distributer oil leak be dripping on speed sensor harness or is it ecu or should i swop 95 cluster back in like it was and get auto electrician ...do distributer oil leak first clean speed sensor harness or swop ecu or get auto electrician ..car seems to struggle to go into overdrive also doesnt go over 110km h in drive otherwise starts easily drives well ...heeelp

Hi sorry I forgot to say when I go over 100km that when the code 42 warning light appears. and the speedometer does work,

yes spedometer works fine heat guage only think we noticed that car idles at 1100 rpm even though timing was fine tuned by good mechanic sometimes battles to go into overdrive

hi auto electrician swopped computer boxes got rid of code 42 car would get code when driving above 100km h swopped speed sensor swopped instrument cluster from working 93 to 95 auto 2.2 electrician followed wiring tested it then swopped computer boxes code gone

code 42 came back after swopped working speed sensor and computer box tried swopping cluster guages stioll came back ...wiring issue i assume ...help
